Lyz Merola is a curious poet currently haunting downtown Ventura, CA. She has a BA in creative writing from CSU Channel Islands and an AA in natural sciences. She is a student of yoga and pugilism, an observer and seeker of truths. She lives with her cat Avo and her dog Cinnamon.
Lyz has poems published in The Island Fox, Solo Voyage, and the Emergence anthology at Studio Channel Islands Art Center. She has been awarded first place in Topic Fiction at the Santa Barbara Writer’s Conference, and the first place poetry prize for Emergence 2024 (SCIART).
